Living off grid in the Philippines we have tired several ags systems to start and stop generators based on voltage of the solar battery. Being In the Philippines we had a very hard time finding anyone to install the unit. We now have the unit working as described. I finally pulled the trigger on a v5 generator and I am thoroughly blown away by how well it is setup and how easy it was to use. It took all of 15 minutes to connect it to my system and it was up and running. I had previously purchased a DC generator from China because I figured how much different could it be. That generator was nothing but a headache and never worked.

I ran across the controller on YouTube. The poster had a portable generator that he was converting to automatic start when the grid went down. After watching the video I was online and ordered the AutoGen X controller. It arrived in a couple of weeks because I’m in Mexico and nothing is fast. I wasn’t able to install right away because of a hurricane and then all the grid shenanigans that followed. I started the install yesterday afternoon and finished this morning. About 3 hours because I’m slow and I didn’t want to encourage any stupid mistakes. Everything is working thanks to Elena and Nick for all of their gracious help. Now I’m ready for a power outage I would highly recommend their controllers not only for the quality but their service as well.

I was very worried about purchasing a product from Greece, but Nick Alexander & his crew were outstanding & the device works perfectly! I know nothing about electricity & could not find an electrician willing to help me in this area. Nick walked me through wiring not one generator, but TWO, since the first one blew a gasket shortly after we had wired it to the V6. His knowledge of generators mixed with his knowledge of his own device is astounding! His patience is also immeasurably valuable to someone like me. (Currently working on a wiring for idiots document to hopefully save him time with someone like me in the future.) :)I purchased the V6 AutoGen to start my generator which sits on a dock on Lake Travis in Texas almost a 1000 feet from my home with no line of sight at most times (not a constant level lake, so the dock goes out as the water goes down). The timer is not being used in this video, but will be once the heat returns to the area & watering regularly is again necessary. The timer starts the V6, which starts the generator, in this instance, I also have a RainBird controller on my house wired to the dock via a relay switch which starts the pump a few minutes after the generator starts. There is NO power on my dock except for the generator and inverter. Yes, I have an electrical box, but this is ONLY run via the generator or the solar inverter for light switches. An electrician hooked up the box years ago. Solar is stupid expensive & they scammed me for a ton of money before I realized I needed to go back to the generator! Running electricity to a constantly moving target is also stupid expensive, as well as dangerous! The V6 AutoGen SAVED THE DAY, MY WALLET, MY SANITY!As you will see in the video, the V6 Autogen also attempts numerous times to start the generator even when it is cold. Once started, you can see it in the app and you get an email indicating the generator is running! My situation is obvious, but if your situation does not produce an obvious result, i.e. watering the lawn, then the emails and/or the app (if you have line of site) are most helpful.The video is rather long, so if you just want to see the V6 in action, stop once I get on the four wheeler. The sprinkler does start in like the last 2 seconds of the video, it just takes a while for the water to go further uphill. My pump is also amazing, she’s a beast! I started with a generator that needed the remote choke lever and it worked, then had to change to an automatic choke (Cummins) and it worked again!! #V6 #V6AutoGen #AutoGen #DCAutoGen

Throughly happy with the AutoGen controller. Works as advertised. Had many many questions about its capabilities and how it works before purchasing and all were answered quickly given the time zone difference. Product delivery was very quick considering shipping distance. I took my time hooking it up being careful to label each wire so no crossover errors. Dealing with 12v and 110v you need to be careful. WiFi set up requires either android or PC so if your an Apple guy, you will need to get that local help. Had a few more questions on the app given it’s not real intuitive until you understand the quirks but it is simple to use. Starting and stoping off the battery bank or can be set up to operate with grid power loss. Can’t say enough about the support it’s excellent. Ok some simple instructions may of helped but the support actually was better than any instructions. Just created a bit of a time lag given the time zones. Thinking about buying another for an old military Mep-002A diesel generator. Should work even with a fuel pump and glow plug preheat.

I have had the V6 controller installed since February 23 and it has worked flawlessly. I gave a remote cabin that is solar powered. The dark winter months in alaska slowly drag the batteries down. With the phone app I can remotely monitor the batteries and start the genset if they get too low. Also nice to remote start when I’m at the cabin instead of going out to the generator shack. Nick was great help while I was doing the initial setup.

I only wish my Internet were as reliable as this device. Have used it on a predator 3500 and a powerhorse 4500. My Internet is a pay per gb hotspot and DC autogen worked with me to reduce the update frequency so I could cut down on data consumption to reduce my monthly costs. Great customer service. Have been using it for about a year and the only hiccups have been due to my Internet provider. The autogen hasn’t missed a beat. I’m about to change over to natural gas and I have no doubt they’ll be just as awesome helping out with changing the programming for that. Thanks for making a great product and doing an amazing job supporting customers requests! Don’t mind the wiring rats nest in the picture, it’s on the list if things to clean up.

We are off grid and rely on Starlink here nothing els works here but the generator wifi does not link up and if you need to start it no way to do it it should have an option to manually push a start button even when internet is down . A electricly underside in development?????

This was a great solution to the problem I was having. I built a go kart for my twin 10 year old grandsons and I did not want them to deal with the choke when they wanted to ride it. Now they get in, buckle up their four-point harness, turn the switch to on, press the start button and go. Glad I stumbled onto your YouTube video when I was searching for a solution to always having to set the choke even when the engine was warm.

Works awesome! I Purchased the V6 AutoGen to install on my 8000 W manual starting inverter generator. I paired this with a automatic transfer switch to create a fully automatic back up generator. The V6 works great doing exactly what I needed it to do. It is nice that I receive a email from the V6 when it is triggered. Customer support was great helping me make any adjustments I required for my set up.

I’m eager to get it installed into my 48V solar system, but will have to wait a month or so before I get a chance. Mechanically it looks to be high quality.

I have not started the generator due to not being able to connect to my internet which is Starlink. Have to find out if Starlink is allowing a 3rd party hook up. I’ve ordered a Ethernet access coupler and have not received it jet. So in the meantime I can not answer your questions

I am shure the product works fine, but i never got it working, disappointed in the packaging with absolutely NO instructions!??? The price you pay for this , it would be appreciated to have nice instructions and in a box and not a bubble wrap bag. And was missing my choke servo bracket.

The company was great, answered all my questions asap. Product works 100%. Only issue that I see is fuel to engine is way to lean. My elevation is 1680 ft above sea level. Still working on that.

I had been looking at this generator for over a year. In April I opted to purchase a similar unit from the states which was larger and more expensive thinking the added horse power and American manufacturing would suit my needs. After waiting three months we were told the company had yet to even assemble the paid for product, we canceled the order because of poor customer service. We then ordered this generator and within a few days it was in route to its new home in North Idaho. The generator is now installed and fully functioning and i must say the quality is beyond expectation. This generator is well thought out and designed and the customer service was excellent! I would not hesitate to recommend this generator. I would like to thank Elena and Nick for their help and assistance.

Cannot find a distributor in Canada or United States

I wanted to control my irrigation of my vegetable garden remotely. There is no electricity connection and no fixed internet connection. That’s why I bought the V6 AutoGen so that I can operate it worldwide. Nick has delivered a great product and with his enormous patience and dedication it works perfectly. After sales to the extreme!! So take it from me that you will absolutely not be disappointed when purchasing this product.

Setting up an off grid system consisting of a Sol-Ark Inverter, solar PV, batteries and a generator. The hardest part was the auto start /automatic weekly exercising of the generator. DC was able to help us work through all the glitches with incredibly quick response times. Any concern I had about an international supplier have been proven to be unwarranted.

I had been searching for a dc generator for a while before happening across these folks. It’s used as a standby generator in a 48v, off-grid solar system. There really is nothing out there that competes with this product. Extremely well thought out, compact, and reliable. I had several custom needs due to installation location and peculiarities of my application. Everything. I wanted addressed was done in a matter of minutes and uploaded to my controller. I’m going on my second year with the V5 48v unit and still have no complaints. Highly recommend this product, or for that matter, any of their products!

WOW !!! The Best After Sales Service Ever. I bought a 24 volt auto gen control to run my generator in Quebec especially for the end of fall and winter to run my 120 volt refrigerator and my radiant floor system. The generator serves as a back up to my solar panels to recharge my battery bank I installed it on a Honda 3000 generator and everything works fine. I want to thank Nick for his extraordinary kindness and patience.

For the price point you really can’t beat the value that this generator provides. So far it’s been the best DC generator solution I’ve found. Since installation we’ve only had to visit the remote site once (and that was to clean off the solar panels!). This generator has already paid for itself by reducing our site visits. Their support is unparalleled – after we installed the generator incorrectly, we fried the micro controller. Their support team was able to diagnose the micro controller and send me links to replacement parts for cheap – they didn’t just try to sell us a brand new board for replacement and charge us an arm and a leg. This company really knows their stuff and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their products.

Relatively new and custom technology and a fair amount of troubleshooting. That being said the absolute best and timely responses and solutions. Very happy with the result and looking for other applications.

The servos have worked well. These are used on a gas fired compressor with a Honda GX390 engine. The are in the heat of New Mexico and we have had no issues.
